'gangnam style hand sculpture' in GANGNAM

This sculpture is at COEX Plaza in Samseong-dong,Gangnam,Korea. The sculpture, which is not very beautiful to look at, is modeled after the song Gangnam Style's horse dance moves.

Many of korean don't like this sculpture, but when you go to COEX Plaza, you can see foreigners taking a picture with it in the background.

When we travel abroad, we take pictures in front of buildings or sculptures  could be symbol of that country. It may be a childish and ordinary  in their eyes, but it is good enough for foreigners.

Because of kpop, a lot of foreign people becomes to like Korea and they want to come to Korea. Although it has been delayed for a while for the corona virus, we should be  prepared for their visiting in advance.

My foreign friend said that he wants to go to a food stall when he comes to Korea. In Korea, it was demolished because it was unsanitary, but they want something unique to Korea. 

Clean and beautiful things are not only something to see. We have to show them what we have as natural. Just like we could have fun while going to Thailand to eat delicious food at the street vendors.

'Gangnam Style hand sculptures' are commemorative for foreigners as they are. Of course, it would have been better if it had been more aesthetically beautiful.
